Respecting a tree

Funny how u don't see many locations like this... Especially in USA. We seem to not respect anything that is old (the elderly, old bldgs, fad styles, or even our faces or bodies starting to look old). How magnificent that this elderly couple conscientiously made the effort to sit back and let that tree grow... And even to carve a path so it may grow larger. How many people don't do this with people much less nature. Most Americans make nature succumb to humanity...
